Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what we collect when you join the Dorchester District 4 alumni community, how we use it, and the control you have over it.

In short: we never sell your information, we never show your contact details publicly, and your name, school, and graduation year are only shared with the alumni community if you tell us it is okay.

Who we are

Dorchester District 4 Alumni is an independent community effort to reconnect graduates of the public high schools of Dorchester School District 4 in Dorchester County, South Carolina. The alumni list is managed by the community organizers with support from Business Key Solutions.

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your name, the school you attended, and your graduation year. We also collect your email address so we can reach you, and, if you choose to provide them, your maiden name, phone number, and mailing address. You decide how much to share.

How we use your information

We use your information to build the alumni community, share community news and updates, and help classmates reconnect. We only contact you about the alumni community.

What we never do

We never sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone. We never display your contact details, meaning your email address, phone number, and mailing address, publicly or in any directory.

Sharing within the community

Your name, school, and graduation year are only shared with other members of the alumni community if you give your consent on the sign-up form. If you choose not to, that information is used only for administrative communication from the community organizers. You can change your choice at any time by emailing us.

Where your information is kept

Your information is stored in a private, access-controlled list that is available only to the community organizers. It is not posted anywhere public.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or remove your information at any time. Email contact@dorchesteralumni.org and we will take care of it.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
